Meet Our District Umpire In Chief (UIC)
Mark Dixon is the WA District 13 Little League Umpire In Chief. First thing to know is Mark is a volunteer like everyone else and his thoughts are always for the player. He loves coaching, teaching, and umpiring, so long as he can work with the kids. Also Mark loves the game of baseball. For decades now he has been umpiring, coaching, and mentoring young people. He’s been active in his league and he studies the rules, techniques, and good methods for umpiring.
Each year Mark tries to hold umpiring clinics to help make better experienced umpires, and train the up and coming generation of new umpires. He’s worked state level tournaments, local district tournaments and tons of local games.
If you have an umpiring question, need help training umpires, or just want to pick his brain, please contact Mark at [email protected]

Umpire Training
Did you know that many Major League Baseball Umpires and College Level Umpires started in Little League? If you are interested in becoming an Umpire, professionally, or as part of your commitment to your community, Little League is a great place to start. District 13 holds umpire training courses each year and has a mentoring work ethic to raise up better and more qualified umpires. One of the most important keys to a successful league is good umpires that can control the flow of the game, follow the rules, make good judgements, and keep the players safe.
